The Annual British Legal Technology Awards acknowledge and reward excellence in Legal Technology and IT Security within the UK and International Legal Sectors. Hosted by Netlaw Media, the 2021 Awards offers eleven categories and will recognise leadership, innovation and technology as well as the individuals, teams, and suppliers transforming the future of legal services. Judged by an independent and impartial panel of 21 experts, The British Legal Technology Awards are open to law firms, barristers’ chambers, in-house legal departments, alternative legal service providers, and suppliers of technology and IT security.

First category, “the Innovation in Legal Services Award”, honours the suppliers which are driving the future of technology in legal services. This critically acclaimed award recognises solution providers which demonstrate they are accelerating the pace of change whilst transforming the competitive landscape with innovative technologies, platforms, and services.

Thomas Webster, Sentry Funding’s Commercial Director, comments that “Sentry’s technology is rapidly changing the way solicitors arrange litigation funding and ATE (after the event insurance). Our revolutionary Fast Track funding product is speeding up the funding process and saving claimants money.”

Second category, “the Supplier of the Year Award”, recognises legal suppliers who have demonstrated excellence in legal technology and client focused services both for SME (small and mid-size enterprises) and large enterprises. This award honours the suppliers which are re-shaping the future of law firms and legal businesses

Webster explains that: “Our mission is to support claimants gain access to justice. Litigation funding is well known for helping large corporations but we are helping everyday people and small businesses access funding whilst making solicitors lives easier through a transparent funding process.”

Being a finalist in two categories shows that Sentry Funding has strengthened its position on the litigation finance market and showed that it was a recognised partner among legal community. Sentry Funding still aims to be the first port of call for all litigation funding and ATE insurance requirements through the use of its market leading technology.
